Good standard for great price

Hotel Agenor is a small hotel in a quiet location just off a main road. The room was a reasonable size for the price the decor seemed fairly new and in good condition with a very comfortable bed and everything was Very Clean. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful with reasonably good English language skills. We appreciated the free use of a computer in the lobby to check e-mail. Although just off the centre of the main tourist area it’s only a few minutes walk to bus, metro and train stations so access to everything is excellent. Local dining and entertainment for the evening is readily available. Toward the train station is a theatre district that is quite lively and the other direction was a street that was more of a neighborhood bistro area. We chose to eat breakfast outside the hotel as there are many nearby options so cannot comment on quality of the hotel breakfast though the price they ask is about average for the type of breakfast offered. In France coffee/tea and a pastry is standard fare everywhere for the morning meal and one wouldn’t expect more unless staying at a hotel catering only to non-French. We would certainly stay there again, the hotel is rated 2 star but is much nicer than many 3 star places we have stayed and we felt very welcome and comfortable there.
