Friendly Hotel, Great Area

We had a great stay here.  It’s a small, family run hotel in a quiet street, but is just a few minutes from plenty restaurants , bars, bakeries etc.  The room was more comfortable than I had expected for the price - small, but with plenty space for two people and luggage for 3 nights - we were happy relaxing and having a quick drink there before going out in the evening.  Spotlessly clean.  The owners and staff were very friendly, and were happy to either let us practice our French or chat in English when needed. 
The area is less touristy than others I’ve stayed in which gave it a really nice feel, and it felt very safe walking home late at night.  Nice area to walk about and explore, go for a coffee etc.  The area immediately around the Tour Montparnasse and the station has uglier buildings, but if you head in any other direction the area looks lovely.  Excellent metro links - close to several lines so takes no time to get to more central attractions, although we walked in most of the time as you see more (either through St Germain towards Eiffel Tower and les Invalides, or through Montparnasse Cemetery and Jardin de Luxembourg). 
Highly recommend the hotel and area.
